General Conditions
The following conditions apply to all Arludo challenges.
Entry fee
There is no entry fee associated with any Arludo challenge. Entry is free for all participants.
Eligibility
Challenges are open to primary school students currently enrolled at an Australian school (all states and territories), or homeschooled students operating under their relevant state or territory legislation. All group members must be primary school students. Arludo employees and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Schools may submit multiple groups. Individuals may not participate in more than one group per challenge.
Group requirements
All entries must be submitted as a group. Groups must have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) participants.
Registration
School-based students must be registered by a teacher using a valid school email address. Homeschooled students must be registered by a parent or guardian using the email associated with their home education. Parental or guardian consent is required for all participants prior to entry. Upon successful registration, the teacher or parent/guardian will receive challenge lesson plans, worksheets, and development materials.
Supervision
All submissions must be primarily written and designed by the student participants. However, teachers or parents/guardians are required to supervise their group at all times. Submissions made directly by students (rather than by a registered adult) will be rejected.
Content standards
Entries must not contain graphic violence, coarse language, nudity, or content considered discriminatory in any way. Entries that do not meet these standards will be disqualified without notice.
Intellectual property
All entrants retain full intellectual property rights to their submissions. Arludo does not claim any ownership over submitted content. By entering, participants grant Arludo a non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce, and promote their entry for educational and promotional purposes, including on the Arludo website and social media channels.
Personal information & privacy
Personal information collected in connection with any Arludo challenge is handled in accordance with Arludo's Privacy Policy. Information may be shared with Arludo employees, contractors, judging panels, sponsors, and research partners solely for the purposes of administering the challenge, assessing entries, and conducting anonymous academic research on science education.
Promotional use
By entering, participants (via their supervising teacher or guardian) consent to Arludo using submitted content — including images, videos, and written material — for future promotional and educational purposes.
Liability
Participation in any Arludo challenge is at the participant's own risk. Arludo accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or expense incurred in connection with entry or participation. Arludo's decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
